BI-Org: Cash Transfer Programs Symposium 2021

Date: April 26th (Monday) and 27th (Tuesday) 2021, 9 AM - 12 PM EDT (if you are in a different time zone, this Timezone Converter may be helpful)
Location: Online (Registration link below)

The BI-Org CTP Symposium is presented and hosted by the Behavioural Economics in Action at Rotman (BEAR) research centre in partnership with ideas42, the World Bank eMBeD, and Foundations for Social Change.

The first online symposium of cash transfer programs with a behavioural lens is on April 26th (Monday) and 27th (Tuesday), 9 AM - 12 PM EDT on each day. It will bring together policymakers, practitioners, researchers and other behavioural scientists who are interested in harnessing behavioural science to improve the effectiveness of cash transfer (and other welfare) programs via better design and delivery of the welfare program.

The goals of this symposium will be a) sharing the state of the art on research and practice, b) fostering ongoing exchanges and building community, and c) identifying research and project opportunities.

The two half-day symposium will feature two-panel discussions on a) comparing social assistance programs in the global north versus the global south, and b) on trying to understand how specific behavioural science theories could help design better cash transfer programs, as well as keynote speakers, research talks and networking opportunities.
